The programme mixes theoretical lectures, laboratory practicals and practical training placements; assessment follows the university-wide examination and grading regulations.

Entry requirements

Applicants must meet the university’s general admission rules and the programme’s specific subject thresholds: a minimum grade of 85% in Chemistry and 85% in two of the following—Physics, Biology or Mathematics. Candidates who do not meet these subject requirements can be admitted after completing a no‑cost intensive foundation programme offered by the Department and passing a final assessment. Recognition of prior learning and transfer credits are available under university policy; transfer students must complete at least 50% of the programme ECTS at Frederick University to graduate.

Graduates are qualified to work as professional pharmacists in community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, state drug authorities and other healthcare services.
