What you'll study

The thesis comprises a creative project and a scholarly text of equal importance; varied research methods are integrated around the creative interdependence of drawing, writing and building. The course offers lectures, seminars, workshops and access to advanced digital fabrication tools. Duration is 3 calendar years (full-time). Programme start options include October, February and May, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis but should be submitted at least three months before your preferred start date. Entry requirements

Applicants normally need a minimum of an upper second-class UK Bachelor's degree plus a Master's degree, or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject. Exceptions: candidates with substantial research or professional experience may be admitted without a Masters; applicants with a lower second-class (2:2) UK Bachelor's degree must hold a relevant Master's to be considered. A strong, convincing research proposal is crucial. Relevant work experience is highly desirable. English language and international equivalency guidance is provided by UCL for overseas applicants.
