This online B.S. in General Business is a 120‑credit undergraduate degree designed to give broad exposure to multiple business disciplines and practical skills for cross‑functional roles. • MATH112 College Algebra (3 credits, 7 weeks): functions and graphs, polynomial, radical, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions; equations, inequalities, systems of equations and applications. (No more than 6 credits from MATH112, 113 and 115 may count toward graduation.)
• ENGL191 Introduction to Rhetorical and Analytical Writing (4 credits, 7 weeks): analytical reading and writing, critical reasoning across rhetorical situations, and an argumentative research project involving analysis and interpretation.
• CMST192 Introduction to Communication Studies (course listed in core)

Program learning outcomes include effective communication and collaboration, competent problem solving, application of business core knowledge, ethical reasoning, applying global perspectives, and demonstrating current knowledge of theories, models and techniques across functional business areas.

Entry requirements

No entrance exams are required. Transfer students with 12 or more college credits are eligible with a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher; students with fewer than 12 college credits are reviewed under freshman admissions standards (freshman minimum high school GPA 2.25). The program evaluates transfer credit during admission. Upper‑division Herberger School of Business enrollment (300–400 level) requires HBS Upper Division Status: a cumulative overall GPA of 2.5, at least 40 earned credits at the 100‑level or higher, completion of all Lower Division Business Core – Group 1 courses, completion or enrollment in Group 2 courses, and a grade of C‑ or better in MATH112.
