What you'll study

The curriculum combines general education, major-specific coursework and electives; the catalogue states a total of 122 credit hours are required to earn the degree. Course delivery is online with accelerated 7-week modules. Core learning outcomes emphasise communication and collaboration, problem solving, ethical decision-making, global perspectives, understanding organisational behaviour and change, human resources activity, cross-cultural management practice, and building and promoting a small business brand and online presence. The lower-division business core lists MATH112 College Algebra (3 credits; 7 weeks) covering functions and graphs, polynomial, radical, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions, equations and inequalities, systems of equations and applications.

Entry requirements

Applicants do not need SAT or ACT scores. Transfer students with 12 or more college credits are admitted with a cumulative college GPA of 2.0 or higher; students with fewer than 12 college credits are reviewed under freshman requirements. Freshman applicants are guaranteed admission with a high school GPA of 2.25 or above. Admission to upper-division Herberger School of Business (to take 300– and 400‑level business courses) requires HBS Upper Division Status, a cumulative overall GPA of 2.5, at least 40 earned credits from courses numbered 100 or higher, completion of all Lower Division Business Core – Group 1 courses, completion or enrollment in Lower Division Business Core – Group 2 courses, and a grade of C- or better in MATH112. Students with fewer than 15 college credits must submit official high school transcripts or GED; instructions for transcript submission are provided by the university.

Career prospects

The program lists typical managerial and supervisory roles that graduates pursue: human resources manager, general manager, management trainee, project manager, team supervisor, operations manager and inventory manager. Students commonly pair management studies with complementary business areas—such as general business, marketing or finance—to broaden strategic, customer-engagement or financial analysis capabilities.

The online format uses per-credit and per-course tuition billing (the university publishes a per-credit rate and a per-course rate based on a 3-credit course); additional fees may apply and tuition is subject to change.
