What you'll study

Coursework and learning emphasise practical aquaculture techniques, applied research methods and innovation targeted at improving the country’s aquacultural sector. The curriculum is designed to develop students’ capacity to produce, diversify and add value to aquaculture products while considering sustainability and climate impacts. Studies support skills relevant to domestic supply and export potential and prepare students to engage with industry 4.0 developments and technological innovation in aquaculture.

Entry requirements

  • English proficiency: minimum Grade C6 in GCE O Level English, grade C in IGCSE English (Second Language), IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL overall 550.
  • Mathematics: credit (C6) in GCE O Level/IGCSE Mathematics, or if holding D7 may sit UNISSA Mathematics Proficiency Test and must obtain at least C6.
  • STPUB: passed with average grade 'Jayyid' plus at least C6 in one science O Level subject (Biology, Chemistry or Physics as appropriate).
  • A Level: minimum of 160 points for two A Level subjects or 200 points for three subjects including one relevant subject with at least grade D; relevant subjects include Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or appropriate equivalents.
  • International Baccalaureate: minimum 24 points including higher-level subject scores of 5, 5, 4 in related subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or appropriate ones).
  • Diploma/HND/Advanced Diploma: Higher National Diploma/Foundation Degree/Advanced Diploma with at least Merit in five relevant subjects from recognised institutions may be considered.
  • HNTec (Level 4): CGPA ≥ 3.0 in related fields such as Agriculture, Agrotechnology, Aquaculture, Soil Science or Animal Science.
  • Agribridge: meet required credit hours and pass all courses with minimum CGPA 2.00.
  • Mature applicants: at least three years’ relevant work experience plus one A Level, or five years’ experience with four O Levels including English and Mathematics.
