What you'll study

Students complete core nursing semesters combined with required general education courses. The program includes anatomy and physiology, nutrition, psychology and a math/core quantitative requirement, integrated with nursing theory, simulation and clinical practicums that prepare graduates to provide care across the lifespan.

Entry requirements

• Minimum cumulative GPA: 2.7
• Completion of the HESI A2 entrance exam (testing windows and scheduling deadlines apply)
• Successful completion of these prerequisites: BSC 2085/L Anatomy & Physiology I with Lab, BSC 2086/L Anatomy & Physiology II with Lab, HUN 1201 Nutrition, PSY 2012 Psychology, and one core math (MGF 1130, MAC 1105, STA 2023 or MAC 2311)
• Track Two applicants must meet all Track One admission requirements in addition to eligibility as an LPN, Registered Respiratory Therapist, or Licensed Paramedic

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared to work as Registered Nurses in hospitals, clinics, physician offices, long‑term care settings or private practice. Completion of program requirements makes graduates eligible to apply to take the NCLEX‑RN in Florida and in compact states under the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact; students who intend to seek licensure in non‑compact states should check that state boards for additional requirements.
