What you'll study

Top-up students take third-year level modules that allow customisation of the degree according to individual interests and career aims. All students study the Future of Business module at the Digitech centre, which explores technological advancements and innovation relevant to business such as AI, machine learning and emerging digital environments.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or Level 2 equivalents). The programme recognises transfers from HND or FdA in Business Management (or equivalent) for entry into the top-up year. For 2026 entry applicants are advised to contact the Clearing Hotline to discuss qualifications and suitability.

Career prospects

The degree aims to prepare graduates for a range of business roles across sectors including corporate, public, SME and third sector organisations. The course highlights the growing impact of technology and AI on work, while noting strong continued demand for roles requiring human interaction; examples cited include business development, account management, senior management and project management. Some graduates have launched businesses supported by the University's innovation labs.

Scholarships & funding angle (general)

Tuition fees for 2026/27 are published by the University: UK full-time £9,790 per year; UK part-time fees charged per 30-credit module (example rate £2,447); International full-time £15,900 per year. The University states it offers bursaries, scholarships and other financial support and that students can apply for funding from the spring before their course starts.
