What you'll study

The curriculum covers a broad set of practical IT topics. Areas of study include:

• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktop, server and mobile operating systems
• Installation, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization products and cloud platforms
• Installation, administration, and troubleshooting of networks, including router setup and configuration
• Fundamental cybersecurity concepts and implementation of security solutions
• Support for office applications

Entry requirements

Applications are submitted through the institute's automated application portal where applicants upload documents and can begin financial aid processes. New sessions start regularly; prospective students can contact admissions or a Career Program Specialist for assistance. The school currently states it is not accepting new enrollments for this program.

Career prospects

The program targets foundational technical roles across a variety of IT environments by focusing on hands-on system, networking, virtualization, cloud and security skills. Employment is not guaranteed; YTI's Career Services offers job-search support, resume and cover letter help, and interview preparation and maintains networks with local employers to assist graduates in finding suitable positions.

Financial aid is available to those who qualify. The institute's Educational Funding Specialists help determine eligibility for federal, institutional and private programs and can advise about grants and scholarships that may reduce out-of-pocket costs.
