Programme overview

The Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at The College of New Jersey combines theoretical foundations with applied design work. Students engage in team-based projects, compete in intercollegiate design competitions, and benefit from small classes and sustained faculty mentorship. What you'll study

Coursework and lab work develop understanding in core areas such as mechanics, materials, fluids, dynamics and controls, and systems. Students may undertake faculty-mentored field or laboratory research, independent study, study abroad, and mentored summer internships. A Mechanical Engineering research track lets qualified students pursue two to four consecutive semesters of mentored research at 0.5 or 1.0 course units per semester (summer participation requires a successful application to TCNJ’s MUSE program); up to 2 course units earned can be applied to two of the four mechanical engineering electives.
