What you'll study

Coursework emphasizes the history and structure of the English language and advanced writing and literary study. Students work on synthesis and argumentative writing, fiction and culture, and modern structure, and learn to apply composition theory and the writing process to rhetorical analysis, synthesis and argumentation. Literary evaluation is taught using formalist, cultural critical, and explicitly biblical perspectives. Entry requirements

Applicants must hold a baccalaureate or graduate degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and CHEA; official transcripts must be sent directly from the degree-granting institution to Indiana Wesleyan University. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 is required from the baccalaureate-granting institution where at least 30 semester hours were completed.
