This certificate trains students to turn customer data into actionable marketing intelligence. Coursework emphasizes advanced software tools, hands-on projects and case studies, and includes study of global and cross-cultural consumer behaviour. The program is delivered on campus and designed to be completed part-time in one semester; instruction is provided by Sawyer Business School faculty.
Core learning focuses on research methods and both qualitative and quantitative analysis, with an emphasis on data visualization. Students engage in applied work using advanced software, complete hands-on projects and case studies, and learn both established and emerging research techniques. The curriculum requires active participation in conducting qualitative research and examines global and cross-cultural consumer behaviour.
Applicants must submit a completed application and a resume. A $50 application fee is required (the fee may be waived for attendees of a graduate admission event). Unofficial transcripts for all post-secondary work are required with the application; admitted students must provide official transcripts, including proof of degree conferral, prior to their first class. A goal statement (essay) is also required. Application deadlines are August 15 (then rolling) for the fall semester and January 4 (then rolling) for the spring semester.
