A completion-style BA focused on leadership in organizations from a systems perspective. Suited to working adults with prior postsecondary experience who want practical management, HR and strategic skills applied to nonprofit, for‑profit, faith‑based or public-sector organizations.

What you'll study

The major builds foundational business knowledge and advances into leadership, group dynamics and strategy. Courses include management, organizational behavior, marketing, accounting and course work focused on diversity, teams, human resources and business policy. Students must earn a C‑ or higher in organizational leadership courses (exceptions noted for some general education or elective courses).

Entry requirements

Applicants submit an application and fee and must have at least a 2.4 GPA (petitions considered if below 2.4). Applicants need two years of postsecondary work experience and a minimum of 6 transferable units (petitions considered if below 6). Note: students need 60 units before starting the major. Additional first steps include requesting official transcripts, providing GED or associate degree documentation if applicable, and submitting any military transcripts or DD214.

The curriculum prepares graduates for supervisory and managerial roles across sectors by combining management, human resource management, organizational development and strategic planning.
