Programme overview

This fully online MSc delivers Brunel University’s Computer Science curriculum in an asynchronous virtual learning environment with scheduled tutor touchpoints. It runs on three intakes (January, May, September) and combines eight core modules plus a dissertation. Entry requirements

Typical academic entry is a UK 2:2 honours degree or equivalent international qualification. Applicants without a bachelor’s degree may be considered if they have at least five years of relevant work experience plus university-level study equivalent to UK NQF Level 4 or higher. English language minimums are IELTS 6.5 (min 6.0 each), Pearson PTE 59 (min 59 each), TOEFL 90 (min 20 each) or BrunELT 63% (min 58% each). Several secondary school qualifications (e.g. WAEC/WASSC, KCSE, Indian Grade 12) are also considered.

Career prospects

The curriculum targets roles that design, build and manage AI systems. Graduates are prepared for positions such as AI specialist, machine learning engineer, data scientist, AI researcher and business intelligence lead across technology firms, consultancies, financial services, healthcare and the public sector.
