Programme overview

This 100% online MSc runs with intakes in January, May and September and can be completed full‑time in one year or part‑time over two years. Learning is delivered through Brunel’s virtual learning environment with asynchronous video lectures, discussion forums and scheduled tutor touchpoints. The course emphasises hands‑on use of technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Tableau, Python, R and SAS, and combines practical training with academic theory to cover the full data science pipeline from data processing to strategic application.

Applicants normally require a UK 2:2 honours degree or international equivalent. English language minima are IELTS 6.5 (min 6.0 each band), Pearson PTE 59 (min 59 each), TOEFL 90 (min 20 each) or BrunELT 63% (min 58% each). Senior secondary school certificates from recognised systems are also considered.
