What you'll study

The programme comprises six core modules, two optional modules and a dissertation. Learning is delivered through Brunel’s virtual learning environment using recorded lectures, video content, discussion forums and collaborative activities; most study is asynchronous with scheduled tutor touchpoints. Assessments include coursework and examinations such as written reports, case study analyses, HR strategy presentations and in-class tests, and the degree concludes with a dissertation on an HRM topic of your choice.

Entry requirements

Standard academic entry is a UK 2:2 honours degree or international equivalent. Applicants without a bachelor’s degree may be considered if they have at least five years of relevant work experience plus university study equivalent to UK NQF Level 4 or higher; applications are reviewed case-by-case. English language minima are IELTS 6.5 overall (min 6.0 each), Pearson PTE 59 (min 59 each), TOEFL 90 (min 20 each), or BrunELT 63% overall (min 58% each). Certain senior secondary school certificates (e.g. WAEC/WASSC, KCSE, Indian Grade 12) are considered.

The course targets roles that manage people systems and strategy. Graduates pursue positions such as human resources officer, HR consultant, training and development officer, recruitment consultant, management consultant and payroll specialist. Brunel cites employer destinations including Amazon, Microsoft, L’Oréal, Accenture, HSBC, Jaguar Land Rover and PwC. The CIPD accreditation supports progression to recognised professional membership and continued professional development in HR.

Scholarships & funding angle

Tuition for the full programme is stated as £11,520. Brunel offers a six-month payment plan with an initial instalment at registration and five equal monthly payments. Discounts may apply: Early Payment Discount (2%), Alumni Discount (15%), Family Discount (10%), and Academic Excellence Award (15%); eligible discounts can be combined. UK residents may be eligible for a Postgraduate Master’s Loan through Student Finance England.
