See the degree grade →A professionally accredited undergraduate degree that builds core accounting knowledge and practical skills for roles in auditing, taxation, financial control and consulting. Suited to students aiming for a career in public practice, industry finance teams or further professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW).
The curriculum covers core areas of accounting including financial analysis, financial management, management control, taxation and auditing, together with the regulatory and social frameworks that influence practice. Teaching includes training in industry‑relevant analytical and market tools such as SAS, EViews, Bloomberg, Reuters and STATA. The final year allows students to choose additional optional modules or undertake a year‑long supervised dissertation project.
Typical 2026/27 entry offers: A‑level ABB–BBB; BTEC National Diploma DDM–DMM; International Baccalaureate 31–30. The course starts in September. Entry requirements may be adjusted during Clearing; Brunel also considers other qualifications and provides guidance on GCSE and equivalencies via admissions.
Graduates are prepared for roles in accountancy, audit, taxation, financial control and consultancy across private and public sectors. Recent placements and graduate employers include Big Four firms and organisations such as PwC, EY, KPMG, NatWest (Financing Futures), the Treasury, the Bank of England, BP, Xerox and Marks & Spencer.
