What you'll study

You will examine a wide range of human rights topics across thematic areas, supported by enhanced modules designed to develop employer-valued skills. Learning includes guest lectures from practitioners, workplace learning through voluntary work or placements, and opportunities to take part in collaborative research projects. The programme offers routes to engage with the School’s initiatives such as the Cyberterrorism Project, the Observatory on Human Rights of Children, and the Sex Work Consortium.

Staff maintain links with public bodies, NGOs, legal professionals, government and international organisations to support professional pathways. Graduates are positioned for roles including specialist human rights lawyer, positions within human rights institutions and international human rights bodies, public sector policy or civil service roles, private sector compliance or legal roles, and posts in non-governmental organisations such as UNICEF, Amnesty or Save the Children.
