A four-year Bachelor of Business Administration that combines core management teaching with mandatory international mobility and a year abroad. What you'll study

The programme mixes broad general education, core management fundamentals, global skills modules tied to the study location and specialised international business electives.

  • General education: courses to build critical thinking and communication such as foreign language, business and economic calculus, consumer computer applications, science and business & professional writing.
  • Management fundamentals (30 credit hours): core business subjects including principles of modern management, business law and marketing principles to form a foundation across disciplines.
  • Global skills: location-specific business courses and topical subjects—examples cited for the US include Legal Issues in the US, Doing Business in the US, Marketing to US Customers, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, plus corporate social responsibility and contemporary legal issues.
  • Specialisation and electives: advanced international business topics such as International Financial Management, International Negotiation, Project Management and International Strategy. Students also complete at least one capstone project in international business or entrepreneurship addressing contemporary global topics.

Entry requirements

Applications are accepted for the Fall semester from applicants worldwide and are reviewed holistically. Required application materials include an online Common App, a $35 application fee (waivers may be available), a SKEMA admissions essay, high school transcript, list of extracurriculars/work experience, and a recommendation letter from a teacher and a counselor. Non-US citizens must provide an English assessment (TOEFL iBT minimum 70), though exemptions may be possible. Optional supplements include SAT scores (test-optional) and a resume. Competitive applicants will be invited to a 30-minute virtual admissions interview; a decision typically follows within about three weeks.

Career prospects

Graduates exit with broad business fundamentals, international experience and speciality electives intended to prepare them for roles requiring global business understanding—for example positions in marketing, management, finance, international trade or entrepreneurship—particularly in multinational or internationally oriented organisations.

Scholarships & funding angle

Tuition for students beginning on the SKEMA Raleigh campus is a flat $17,500 per academic year, billed half in Fall and half in Spring; a four-month, interest-free semester-based payment plan is available. Financial aid options are noted on the programme page and tuition for the fourth year is set by the dual-degree partner institution for students who transfer for that year. Tuition is charged according to the campus where a student starts (home campus).
