Keiser University’s Doctor of Business Administration is a terminal doctoral programme that blends advanced business theory with applied research methods. The programme is offered with flexible delivery (online, on-campus, hybrid), requires 60 credit hours across 20 courses, and is commonly completed in an estimated 24–42 months using eight-week terms. Students choose a concentration in Marketing, Management, or Global Business and may apply up to 18 credits of transfer credit where eligible.
The curriculum emphasizes scholarly research, leadership, ethics, and global perspectives. Core and research courses listed in the programme include:
Students select a specialization in Marketing, Management, or Global Business and take concentration coursework tied to that area (the catalogue lists a Marketing specialization course "Emerging Issues in Marketing" among others).
Applicants must demonstrate competency in business knowledge before beginning the DBA core. Candidates without a business degree are offered MBA prerequisite courses to complete in the semester(s) prior to starting the DBA; those prerequisite courses must be passed with at least a B. A student may attempt prerequisite courses no more than two times unless an appeal is approved.
The programme targets experienced professionals aiming for academic faculty roles, senior executive positions in business or government, and leadership posts that require doctoral-level expertise. Graduates are prepared to conduct and publish applied research, lead strategic initiatives, and teach at higher-education institutions.
Keiser notes that financial aid is available for those who qualify and recommends discussing options with a dedicated financial aid counselor. Prospective students should contact the university’s financial aid office to explore grants, loans, or other funding pathways applicable to the DBA.
