What you'll study

The curriculum requires 60 credits, a three-year residency requirement, and a dissertation that typically extends an additional one to two years. The programme focuses on developing doctoral-level research skills and contributions to theory on an ongoing basis; coursework and supervised research prepare students to design, conduct and disseminate original business research.

Entry requirements

• An earned bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree (if the master’s is not in business administration, additional coursework is required).
• GMAT score of 600 or higher.
• Graduate GPA of approximately 3.5/4.0 or higher.
• Personal statement outlining expectations and commitment to graduate study, and an interview.
• Admission decisions are made by the PhD Admission Committee based on the combined factors above and requirements of the Andrews University graduate division.

Graduates are prepared primarily for academic careers as researchers and faculty in business schools, especially within Christian higher-education settings. The programme aims to create well-trained researchers and teachers who can advance business theory, assume leadership in education, and model integrity and service in business practice.
