What you'll study

The degree requires two areas of focus, defined as either a minor or a certificate, each consisting of at least 12 credit hours (previous college credit may satisfy these requirements). Course offerings support applied topics tied to students’ chosen focuses; not every course listed on the catalogue may be delivered online, but all courses required for the degree will be made available to App State Online students. An internship is required prior to graduation.

Entry requirements

Applicants may enter as first-year or transfer students. Prospective first-year students and those who have not attended college since high school should consult the university’s First-Year Admission requirements. Applicants with college coursework since high school (including military service members, veterans, and second-degree seekers) should review Transfer Admission requirements. Students who previously attended App State should review Readmissions requirements. Transfer equivalency tools are available to check how prior coursework maps to Appalachian.
