Entry requirements

Admission to the DeVoe Division of Business is required before taking 300–400 level division courses. To apply to the division students must:

• Have completed 40 total credit hours
• Have completed the following courses: BUS-100, ACC-201, ACC-202, ECO-212, ECO-213, MNG-210, MKG-210
• Hold a 2.5 overall GPA and a 2.5 GPA within the DeVoe Division of Business
• Have a minimum grade of C in all courses required for a major and minor
• Satisfy general education requirements for writing competency, mathematics and communication
• Submit a portfolio (including a résumé and at least one showcase piece from the listed courses)
• Submit an individual admission essay (division prompt)
• Complete a division interview

Students must complete an Application for Admission to the Division and the faculty will approve if criteria are met; the division reserves the right to deny admission based on behavioral expectations. Transfer students may petition for admission if they meet substantially all criteria. To continue in the division students must maintain the 2.5 overall and division GPAs and a minimum grade of C in required major/minor courses. Transfer-credit policies and minimum in-division credit requirements are determined by the DeVoe Division of Business.
