Entry requirements

Applicants must be admitted to graduate studies at Cameron University and have a teaching certificate within the first 12 hours of graduate study. Two acceptable recommendation forms are required. A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is normally expected; applicants with lower GPAs may be conditionally admitted but must achieve a 3.0 at the graduate level.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared to strengthen classroom instruction, take on specialist instructional roles, support student learning more effectively, and contribute to school improvement and equity efforts. Concentration choice (for example, school counseling or special education) directs graduates toward related specialist positions within K–12 settings.
