What you'll study

The program sequence includes general education and foundational support courses followed by clinical nursing coursework beginning in the first semester of the sophomore year after required supports are completed. Clinical learning takes place at regional health agencies and in the on-campus Clinical Simulation and Skills Innovation Lab (CSCIL). Students can gain experience in intensive care unit settings and engage with faculty mentors to develop critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and competencies aligned with AACN BSN Essentials and QSEN pre-licensure competencies.

Entry requirements

• Submit a free application and official transcripts from all institutions attended.
• First-time, first-year applicants (GPA only): minimum 3.40 cumulative high school GPA.
• Applicants with GPA and test scores: minimum 3.00 cumulative high school GPA plus one of the following test thresholds: SAT 1060+, ACT 21+, CLT 68+.
• Transfer students: minimum 3.250 cumulative college GPA.
• Start terms: Fall, Spring & Summer.

Career prospects

Graduates are eligible to take the NCLEX-RN and prepared to function as generalist registered nurses across a range of health care settings. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projected 7% job growth for registered nurses from 2019–2029, driven by preventative care emphasis, rising chronic conditions, and aging populations—trends that support continued demand for BSN-prepared nurses.
