What you'll study

The concentration requires eight seminars plus a doctoral project. Example seminar subjects and course focuses listed by the programme include:

• Intercultural Communication — principles and processes for effective communication in a second cultural context.
• Cultural Anthropology for Ministry — foundational anthropology as applied to cross-cultural and multicultural ministry.
• World Religions — study of major religious belief systems to understand adherent worldviews and behavior.
• Contextualization for Ministry — methods for fitting evangelism, church planting, development and relief into receiving cultures.
• Current Theological Issues — discussion of theological trends and issues impacting the church.

Entry requirements

To be considered applicants must hold a Master of Divinity and have at least three years of ministry experience. Applicants with a Master of Arts in a theological or ministry field are eligible but may be asked to demonstrate additional ministry experience. Admissions materials required include official transcripts, a spiritual life reference, and for international applicants TESOL test scores and a financial certificate indicating sufficient funding.
