An interdisciplinary undergraduate major that studies the biological basis of brain, mind and behavior. Suits students who enjoy lab science, quantitative coursework and research and who plan careers in medicine, graduate research or allied-health and science fields.

What you'll study

The curriculum combines core natural-science and quantitative subjects with psychology and research methods. Students train in chemistry, physics, calculus, statistics, research methods, biology and psychology while also developing communication and critical-thinking skills. The program supports capstone projects and allows cross-departmental capstone options.

Entry requirements

Neuroscience is an undergraduate major that is taken in addition to Marietta’s liberal-arts core curriculum. The department recognizes AP credit in Physics: a score of 3 on AP Physics I grants credit for PHYS 211 and a score of 3 on AP Physics II grants credit for PHYS 212.
