What you’ll study

The program requires 81 law‑school credits and 22.5–30 MBA credits, with up to 21 credits counting toward both degrees. During the second and third years of law school, students take MBA courses that satisfy business and legal requirements. For those interested in sports, the MBA/JD track offers a Sport Business specialization that includes 10 sports‑law credits, such as LAW 7106 Amateur Sports Law, LAW 7303 Professional Sports Law, and workshops on legal and business issues in athletics, plus an advanced legal research course.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be accepted into both the Graduate School of Management and the Law School and meet each school’s separate criteria. Dual‑degree candidates must maintain a 3.0 GPA for MBA graduation and a C or better in all sports‑law electives if pursuing the Sport Business specialization.
