Admission requirements for the MBA with the Business and Managerial Analytics specialization are the same as for the Marquette MBA and MBA Online. Applicants begin via the online application and must select the “Business and Managerial Analytics (STEM Designation)” option in the Program of Interest pull-down. Students already admitted to the MBA or MBA Online should contact their advisor to transition into the BMAN specialization and to review 3-, 4- and 5-semester scheduling options.
The program targets students aiming for roles that combine analytics with management decision-making. Marquette notes broad employer demand for analytics and data-science skills across departments and cites the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projection that employment of operations research analysts is expected to grow 23% from 2022 to 2032.
Beginning fall 2025, the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI) will support Graduate Assistantships for full-time MBA-BMAN students. GA roles typically involve supporting faculty research for about 10 hours per week during fall and spring terms, and include a 9-credit tuition scholarship plus a $10,000 stipend. The specialization is STEM-designated; international graduates may be eligible for up to 36 months of Optional Practical Training (OPT).
