What you'll study

The programme combines a liberal-arts general education with concentrated study in biblical and theological subjects. Core areas typically include Old Testament and New Testament survey, systematic theology, church history, ethics, and contemporary religious thought. Students also study practical ministry subjects such as pastoral care and counselling, worship leadership, Christian education, evangelism and discipleship, and youth ministry.

Language and research skills are emphasised; many students take biblical languages (beginner Greek and/or Hebrew), courses in hermeneutics and biblical interpretation, and classes in apologetics. Electives often cover world religions, mission studies, social justice and religion, and specialised topics such as Pentecostal/charismatic studies or liturgy. The degree usually culminates in a capstone project or practicum that places students in churches, parachurch organisations, chaplaincy settings or community ministries to gain supervised hands-on experience.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold a recognised secondary school qualification or equivalent. Admissions typically consider academic transcripts, a personal statement outlining vocational interests and faith background, and one or more references; some applicants provide a pastoral reference. Standardised test requirements may be optional; applicants transferring from other institutions submit college transcripts and transfer-credit documentation.

Candidates for ministry-oriented tracks may be asked to attend an interview with programme faculty or ministry staff to discuss calling and expectations. International applicants must meet the university's English-language proficiency requirements and provide certified academic records for evaluation.
