What you'll study

The programme combines theory and applied study to explore how global systems are produced and contested. Core topics include theories of globalization, international political economy, global governance, transnational migration, and cultural flows. Students develop research skills through courses in qualitative and quantitative methods, comparative case studies, and critical approaches to knowledge production.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a recognised bachelor’s degree in a related discipline such as political science, sociology, international relations, economics, anthropology, or another relevant field. Admissions consider academic transcripts, a personal statement outlining research interests and career goals, and at least two academic or professional references. A CV or résumé is usually required.

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through an approved English language qualification or equivalent evidence of prior study in English. Relevant professional experience and demonstrated interest in international issues can strengthen an application.
