What you'll study

This Bachelor of Science in Biology combines core biological science with hands-on laboratory and field experience. Core topics include cell and molecular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, physiology, microbiology and biochemistry. Students take sequential lab courses to develop practical skills in microscopy, molecular techniques, experimental design and statistical analysis.

Beyond the core, students can tailor their studies through upper-level electives and thematic tracks that commonly cover subjects such as developmental biology, neurobiology, immunology, bioinformatics, plant biology, conservation biology and marine/coastal biology.
