What you'll study

This programme combines theoretical study with applied research, allowing you to tailor your learning to areas such as policy, leadership, curriculum, inclusion and assessment. You will normally complete a mix of core modules and optional modules before undertaking a substantial piece of independent research or a major professional project.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good honours degree (UK 2:1 or equivalent). Candidates with a lower-class honours degree plus substantial relevant professional experience in education, training or a related sector will also be considered. All applicants must demonstrate their ability to undertake postgraduate study; this is evidenced through academic transcripts, references and a personal statement outlining motivation and relevant experience.

International applicants are required to meet the University's English language requirements through an approved test or recognised qualification. Additional documentation such as certified translations and copies of qualifications may be requested as part of the application process.
