What you'll study

The programme balances theoretical fundamentals and hands‑on development. Early modules cover programming fundamentals, discrete mathematics, data structures and algorithms, and computer architecture to build a strong computational base. Core software engineering topics include software design and architecture, software development lifecycles and methodologies (including agile practices), software testing and quality assurance, requirements engineering, and configuration management.

• Systems programming, operating systems and networks

• Software project management, software process improvement and software metrics
• Basic cybersecurity and secure coding practices
• Electives in areas such as machine learning, cloud computing, embedded systems or enterprise software
• A substantial final-year individual or group project (bachelor thesis) demonstrating end‑to‑end software development and engineering skills

Teaching methods typically include lectures, laboratory sessions, team projects, code reviews and industrial placements or internships where available. Assessment combines coursework, practical projects, written exams and the final project.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold a recognised secondary school leaving qualification. A solid background in mathematics and evidence of analytical ability are expected. For programmes taught in English, competence in English at CEFR B2 level (or equivalent) is usually required; for Lithuanian‑taught tracks, proficiency in Lithuanian is required.

Admissions may consider formal qualifications and supporting materials such as a personal statement, reference(s) and — for some applicants — an interview or entrance test. Equivalent prior learning, relevant practical experience or foundation year pathways may be considered for mature applicants.
