What you'll study

The Bachelor of Agriculture combines foundational science with applied farm management and contemporary technologies used in modern primary production. Core subjects typically cover plant and animal biology, soil science, farm business management, pest and disease management, and principles of sustainable production. You will also study modules in agricultural economics, farm planning, irrigation and water management, and natural resource conservation.

Entry requirements

Admission is normally based on completion of secondary school qualifications or an equivalent credential. Applicants are expected to have studied relevant subjects at senior secondary level (for example, biology, chemistry or mathematics) where available. Central Queensland University accepts a range of pathways into the programme, including vocational diplomas, mature‑age entry with demonstrated industry experience, and transfers from other tertiary institutions.
