What you'll study

The Politics BA combines core modules in political theory, comparative politics and international relations with optional units that allow specialisation. In the early years you will cover foundational topics such as political ideas and ideologies, the institutions of British government, research methods for the social sciences and introduction to comparative politics. Later stages offer more specialised modules in public policy, global governance, security studies, political economy, European politics, human rights and contemporary political thought.
