What you'll study

The MSci Pharmacology is a four-year integrated master's combining foundational biological and chemical concepts with progressively advanced pharmacology topics and a final-year research project. Teaching blends lectures, small-group seminars, practical laboratory classes and research placements.

  • Year 1: introductory modules in cellular and molecular biology, basic human physiology, drug chemistry, core laboratory techniques and statistics to build essential experimental skills.
  • Year 2: core pharmacology topics such as receptor pharmacology, signal transduction, neuropharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, and experimental design with more advanced laboratory classes.
