What you'll study

The program comprises 40 semester credits of coursework plus a practicum of 2–5 credits. Students complete the degree in two years or less in typical full-time progression; part‑time students have a maximum of six years to finish. The structure and specific course list are provided by the School of Graduate Studies and College of Health & Human Services.

Entry requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or non‑U.S. equivalent).
• Academic qualification: one of the following — overall undergraduate GPA ≥ 2.60; GPA ≥ 2.75 on the last 50% of undergraduate coursework; graduate GPA ≥ 3.00 on at least 8 semester credits graded A–F; OR possession of a previous master’s degree.
• Professional resume.
• Two professional letters of recommendation (examples: advisors, major professors, employers).
• Statement of purpose.
• English proficiency when prior education was not in English: minimum TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.5.
• Applications are accepted for Fall start only; all application materials must be submitted before August 1.

Career prospects

Graduates are prepared for administrative and leadership roles across a range of health services settings, including hospitals, physicians’ offices, government agencies, outpatient care centers, nursing care facilities and home health care services.
