What you'll study

The program requires 30 credit hours: 18 credits of core coursework (including a capstone), 6 credits of foundation courses and 6 credits of electives. Course work covers the full analytics workflow from managing big data and data warehousing to predictive analytics, multivariate analytics, data mining, machine learning, business intelligence, and data visualization. Instruction emphasizes hands-on use of industry-trending tools and techniques including Python, R, Tableau, and approaches to communicate findings to diverse audiences.

Entry requirements

Applicants must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution and submit transcripts and a professional resume. A cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Applicants with a GPA of 2.75–2.99 may be admitted if they show two years of relevant work experience and mathematical proficiency, or a 90th-percentile GMAT/GRE score. Demonstrated quantitative aptitude is required via prior academic preparation or relevant professional experience; applicants must submit an online application and a $50 application fee.
