Students must complete 12 credit hours chosen from the following 3-credit courses:
Applicants submit an online application, must generally hold a 3.0 undergraduate GPA (exceptions may be discussed with the program director), and provide a one-page personal statement describing background and career or intellectual interests in public relations. The program uses rolling admissions and admits students for Fall, Spring, or Summer start terms.
The curriculum focuses on practical and theoretical PR competencies—media relations, strategic messaging, crisis response, promotions and event planning, social media management, and multimedia production—preparing students for roles in public relations, communications, brand management, media relations, and event promotion within corporate, nonprofit, agency, or institutional settings.
