What you'll study

The programme gives foundational and intermediate technical training. Core required courses (12 credits) include:

• INFO 1200 Computer Programming I for IS IT or CS 1400 Fundamentals of Programming (3 credits)
• INFO 2410 Database Fundamentals (3 credits)
• IT 1600 Computer Architecture and Systems Software or CS 2810 Computer Organization and Architecture (3 credits)
• IT 2600 Data Communication Fundamentals (3 credits)

Electives (12 credits) are chosen from 3000- or 4000-level courses in INFO, IT, or CYBR. The programme learning outcomes emphasize analyzing computing problems, designing and evaluating computing-based solutions, supporting information system operations, and applying computing techniques to business problems.

Entry requirements

Students must complete the listed core prerequisite courses (or their alternatives): INFO 1200 or CS 1400; INFO 2410; IT 1600 or CS 2810; and IT 2600. For graduation, no course in the minor may have a grade lower than C-. Consult an adviser for how transfer credits or placement affect your plan.
