Suited to students aiming to become licensed secondary teachers who want subject specialization (for example physics, chemistry, biology or mathematics) alongside pedagogical and Christian moral formation.
The Bachelor of Science with Education develops mastery in a chosen science or mathematics combination while preparing graduates to teach and to act as role models in secondary schools. The programme emphasises subject knowledge, classroom communication, student discipline and Christian spiritual and moral formation.
Applicants must meet overall university degree-entry rules and hold at least the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or an equivalent qualification with at least two principal passes in subjects related to the intended major, obtained in the same sitting.
Graduates are prepared to begin careers as professional secondary-school teachers and as education service providers.
