The Bachelor of Business Administration at Uganda Christian University is a three-year undergraduate degree that develops practical business skills and ethical decision‑making within a Christian framework. It suits students aiming for foundational business roles in Uganda and those planning to progress to master's study.

Programme overview

The Bachelor of Business Administration exposes students to multiple business areas while stressing individualised learning, teamwork and Christian ethical values. The programme is offered full‑time (day and evening) at UCU Mukono/Main campus, Kampala campus and at Mbale, Arua and Bishop Barham University College campuses, with intakes in Advent/September, Easter/January and Trinity/May. The normal length is three years, with a maximum of five years to complete.

Entry requirements

  • Direct entry with a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or equivalent plus at least two A' level principal passes in subjects such as Economics, Mathematics, Entrepreneurship or natural sciences taken in the same sitting.
  • Holders of a diploma in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Mature‑age entry: Ugandan nationals aged at least 25 who pass the mature‑age examination and succeed in both written and oral assessments.

Career prospects

Graduates can find roles in local, national and international public, nonprofit and private sectors. Typical job titles listed by the school include accountants, finance assistants, marketers, audit assistants and entrepreneurs. The degree also provides groundwork for pursuing master's level studies.
