Suited to candidates interested in personnel policy, training, and organisational interpersonal relations who want to work in HR roles across public and private organisations.
The programme runs for three years (with a maximum of five years allowed for completion). Individual courses cover topics including basic marketing, accounting, computing; business law; health and safety; behavioural and operational management; strategic planning; interpersonal relations; and specific HR areas such as orientation, training and employee exit procedures.
Application is online. Application fees stated by the university: UGX 100,000 for Ugandan nationals (UGX 150,000 for programmes with pre-entry exams) and USD 50 for international applicants. Intake: Advent/September — Full-time day at Mukono (main) campus; day and evening at Kampala campus.
Graduates are prepared to work in human resource departments of local, national and international public and private institutions and to serve as human resource managers at various organisational levels.
