What you'll study

The programme combines historical and thematic surveys of literature with skills-based courses in writing, rhetoric and textual analysis. You can expect to study British and American literary traditions from medieval to contemporary periods, world and postcolonial literatures, and specialised topics such as Shakespeare, modernism, contemporary fiction, and gender and literature.
