The Management and Operations concentration within the BBA curriculum builds on foundational business courses to develop skills in process improvement, supply chain management, operations strategy and people leadership. The programme mixes core business disciplines—accounting, finance, marketing, economics and statistics—with specialised modules that emphasise analytical tools, systems thinking and operational decision-making.

• Core business foundations: financial accounting, managerial accounting, corporate finance, marketing management, business law, managerial economics and business statistics.
• Management and organisational studies: organisational behaviour, human resource management, leadership and team dynamics, ethics and corporate social responsibility with an emphasis on Villanova’s values-based approach to management.
• Operations and supply chain: operations management, supply chain management, logistics and distribution, procurement and sourcing, inventory control and forecasting.
• Quantitative and technical skills: business analytics, data visualisation, operations research, simulation and decision models; business information systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) concepts.
• Strategy and capstone: competitive strategy, operations strategy and a capstone project or practicum that integrates operations and management concepts through a real-world consulting project or internship.
• Electives and experiential learning: students can choose elective modules such as project management, quality management (Lean/Six Sigma principles), service operations, sustainability in supply chains, and may undertake internships, study abroad or undergraduate research.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to have completed a recognised secondary school qualification with strong performance in quantitative subjects (such as mathematics). Typical application materials include an academic transcript, a personal statement, and one or more academic or character references. Proof of English language proficiency is required for applicants whose first language is not English.
