What you'll study

This master's combines theoretical foundations with applied practice in intercultural relations, diversity and inclusion. Core topics typically include intercultural communication theory, critical approaches to diversity, research methods for social inquiry, cross-cultural conflict and negotiation, and policy and programme design for inclusion. Students also study elective modules drawn from related areas such as organisational behaviour, migration and refugee studies, multicultural education, and globalisation.

The programme commonly includes a practicum or internship placement with a campus, community or organisational partner and a capstone project or thesis that applies research to a real-world diversity challenge. Coursework emphasises mixed-methods research, programme evaluation, facilitation skills, and the development of strategic interventions tailored to specific institutional contexts.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to hold a recognised bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline such as sociology, anthropology, education, communication, political science, business, or a closely related field. Typical requirements include an academic transcript, a personal statement outlining professional goals and interest in intercultural diversity, and at least two letters of recommendation. Relevant professional or volunteer experience in diversity, education, community organising, human resources or related areas strengthens an application.

International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency through recognised tests or prior study in English, in accordance with university policy. Some applicants may be invited to submit a writing sample or participate in an interview. The programme may consider GRE scores where appropriate but often evaluates candidates holistically.
