What you'll study

This degree combines core business fundamentals with specialised study in operations management, process improvement and organisational leadership. You will take a mix of compulsory and elective modules that cover finance, marketing and strategy alongside operational topics such as supply chain management, project management, quality management and operations analytics.

• Core business modules: financial accounting, managerial finance, marketing principles, business law, organisational behaviour and strategic management.
• Management and operations modules: operations management, supply chain and logistics, project management, lean operations and Six Sigma concepts, production and inventory control.
• Quantitative and analytical skills: business statistics, operations research, data analytics for managers and decision-making under uncertainty.
• Human-centred modules: leadership and team management, human resources management, negotiation and change management.
• Experiential learning: applied capstone project, case study workshops, simulations and business consulting projects with community or industry partners.
• Optional electives: entrepreneurship, international business, sustainability and operations technology (e.g. ERP systems and process automation).

Throughout the programme you will work on hands-on projects, use industry-standard tools for process modelling and analytics, and have opportunities for internships or co‑op placements to apply classroom learning in real workplaces.

Entry requirements

Applicants are expected to have completed secondary education with a mix of academic and quantitative subjects. Typical entry routes include A-levels, International Baccalaureate, or an equivalent secondary-school qualification. Where A-levels are used, admissions commonly look for passes across at least three subjects, including mathematics or a numerate subject. Mature applicants and those with relevant work experience are welcome and considered on an individual basis.

• Academic: successful completion of secondary qualification appropriate to the applicant's country — applicants should demonstrate proficiency in mathematics or quantitative reasoning.
• English language: for applicants whose first language is not English, an approved English language qualification at the level required by the university is necessary.
• Other requirements: a personal statement outlining motivation for study and any relevant extracurricular or work experience; some applicants may be invited to an interview.
