What you'll study

This MA combines theoretical perspectives on global and comparative education with practical skills in research and policy analysis. Core themes include the politics of education reform, international education policy and governance, education and development, and issues of equity, inclusion and rights in schooling. Students typically study a combination of compulsory research-methods modules and optional modules such as comparative education, education in emergencies and conflict-affected contexts, curriculum and assessment in international perspective, and leadership and management in education.

The programme culminates in a substantial independent research project or dissertation that allows you to investigate a topic of your choice under academic supervision.
