What you'll study

This masters combines environmental science, management tools and business strategy to equip you to design and implement sustainable solutions in organisations. Core themes include environmental policy and regulation, environmental management systems, carbon accounting and greenhouse gas management, life cycle thinking and resource efficiency, environmental risk assessment, and sustainability strategy and reporting.

Entry requirements

Applicants are normally expected to hold a good honours degree (equivalent to a UK upper second-class or higher) in a relevant subject, such as environmental science, engineering, business, economics or a related discipline. Applicants with lower academic qualifications but substantial relevant professional experience (for example in environmental compliance, sustainability or operations roles) are also considered.

International applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English. Where applicants do not meet direct entry criteria, Cranfield may consider a combination of prior academic record and work experience; applicants will be assessed on their ability to succeed on a rigorous, vocational masters programme.
