Suited to undergraduates in marketing, management, finance or fashion marketing & merchandising who want concentrated digital marketing skills, hands-on client work and a reserved slot in graduate study.
The Bachelor’s–Master of Science in Digital Marketing 4+1 is a dual-degree pathway that enables students to earn both a bachelor’s degree and an MS in Digital Marketing in five years. Delivery modes include on-campus and hybrid options. Dual degree participants receive guaranteed admission to the MS program provided they continue to meet program-specific progression criteria as undergraduates.
Students learn contemporary digital marketing techniques and tools to track data, identify market trends and analyze user experience. Instruction emphasizes applying those skills to real client projects and campaigns under the guidance of faculty and industry practitioners. Coursework and activities include data-driven marketing, content and social strategy, SEO/SEM tactics, digital analytics and UX considerations, plus internships and community-connected projects.
The 4+1 dual degree is open to students enrolled in the undergraduate majors of fashion marketing & merchandising, finance, management, or marketing. To matriculate into the Master of Science in Digital Marketing portion, students must successfully complete the bachelor’s degree and hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, in addition to satisfying any program-specific guidelines required for progression.
Graduates are prepared for roles that blend technical, analytical and creative responsibilities. Typical career paths listed for the program include digital marketing manager, social media manager, content strategist, digital strategist, SEO/SEM strategist, marketing analyst, creative director and user experience (UX) designer. The program cites sustained demand for advertising, promotions and marketing managers and competitive compensation for marketing leadership roles.
Participating in the 4+1 pathway can reduce time and cost compared with pursuing separate degrees. Dual degree students also benefit from reserved graduate admission—eliminating late-stage application stress—and access to undergraduate academic advising, faculty support, industry events and student clubs that can help secure internships and other funded experiences.
